The Waters CEO Tami Kozikowski Recognized as a Top Business Leader by Minnesota 500 Magazine
The CEO of The Waters Senior Living has just been named one of the most powerful female business leaders in the state. The Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal’s Minnesota 500 Magazine featured Tami Kozikowski in December 2022. In its article featuring Kozikowski, Minnesota 500 Magazine points out “Her values-based leadership style and team-oriented, customer-centric mindset have been key to her success.”
Tami Kozikowski has been CEO of The Waters Senior Living since March 2020. She was hired in early 2018 to stabilize the operating platform, increase the value of the portfolio, and ready the company for growth. Throughout her 35 plus year career, Kozikowski has been charged with solving complex problems. At The Waters, Kozikowski’s leadership focus is on growth, while ensuring its mission of creating a sense of community where everyone who lives in or works at The Waters, thrives.
Over the past nearly five years, Kozikowski has built what she calls an amazing, experienced team. Together with that team, she has brought dining in-house, thereby improving the quality, the resident experience, and financial impact. Kozikowski led The Waters through a nearly 3-year pandemic, always placing the health and safety of residents and team members first. She has also worked through the re-licensing of 9 of the 12 communities; and is now evaluating different strategies to continue growing The Waters.
Prior to coming to The Waters, Kozikowski served as the Executive Vice-President at Life Time Fitness, a $1.5 billion healthy-way-of-life company. Her most recent role there was as President of the Spa Division.
